I'm glad you
Welcome to Arlington Lactation & Feeding Therapy, your one-stop shop for judgement-free feeding support for your newborn, infant, and toddler.
I'm Susan Howard. Registered Nurse. Lactation Consultant and Mom. My mission is to help the whole family thrive while meeting their feeding goals.
I offer compassionate, evidence-based feeding support.
I specialize in complex feeding situations at the breast, the bottle, and the table. My expertise includes tongue ties, feeding difficulties, slow weight gain, low-milk supply, and bottle-refusing babies.
I know babies.
I know boobs.
I can help.
Arlington Lactation is synonymous with providing the most comprehensive and quality care to mothers and babies. Complex feeding situations are my specialty.
If you suspect a tongue tie, have milk supply concerns, or difficult feedings, I can help. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidenced-based feeding support to help soon-to-be, new and seasoned families blend the art of nursing with the science of feeding their child.
If you enjoy learning about the 'why' as much as the 'how' when it comes to feeding, we will make a good pair.
A visit with a skilled lactation consulant can help with mother concerns and baby concerns. Take a look at how I can help.

About a Visit
Learning to feed your baby is an individual experience.
I come to you in the comfort and privacy of your own home.
Our visit is relaxed. I have 2 hours to hear your story and get to know you and your baby.
We figure out the issues and together we create a plan.
Individualized expert care for you and your baby.
Welcome, friend and esteemed colleague! I am thrilled to offer some of the resources I have created over the years for your to use in hopes of making your workflow more efficient and to help market yourself in creative manners.
My mother was a teacher. She set up an area in my home that was "Susan's Creative Space". I would spend hours using art and craft materials along with her teacher resources to make things. This love for creativity never left me and has turned into a knack of mine for thinking outside the box when it comes to reaching my clients.
I love partnering the creative side of my brain with ways to connect with clients so they have information that is helpful and they remember where they gathered that knowledge.
